About SinS

Hi. I’m Sandra,

Welcome to Something In Silver (SinS), my little slice of heaven.

I have always loved silver jewellery and finally made the time to start making it myself in 2017, with silver plated and semi-precious gemstone beaded earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

In 2018, I put myself on a Silver-Smithing course and that was it … I was hooked !

I now work in Sterling Silver utilising the traditional silver-smithing techniques, but I mix it up a bit by combining the very modern precious metal clay (PMC) too.

I am incredibly proud to have my work Hallmarked at the Assay Office in London.

I have recently retired from full time work in the NHS, so now it is time to sit back and enjoy doing what I love …

I never make two items exactly the same (unless of course you ask me to), as I want everyone to have a piece of jewellery that is like them, special and unique.

Bespoke commissions are my favourite as it gives me a chance to work with you on something special.

I live with 4 wonderful dogs, who keep me busy.  I have a passion for Wire Hair standard Dachshunds, and you will often see the odd dog themed item.

I am lucky to be situated in Dymchurch down on the lovely Romney Marsh in Kent.

Thank you for stopping by and having a look at my shiny things, I hope you find something you like, and if not, let me know what you would like and we can see if we can do it !

I will also try and help with any repairs, or alternatively create new items with your own jewellery.

Have a wonderful day …
